Are there any age restrictions?

Please note that the Music Box and Jillys are STRICTLY OVER 18s ONLY. This applies to both customers and performers alike. If you look young please bring photo ID such as passport, driving licence etc to confirm you are over 18

Can I hire the club for my private function/band night?

Of course. Check the Hire page for details.

What time does the club open?

Club nights start at 10pm. Band nights generally start at 7.30 or 8pm

What time does the club shut?

It depends on the night. Check the listing details.

Where can I get advance tickets from for a particular show?

Please note, the venue does not have a ticket office. Every event is generally promoted by different outside promoters not the venue itself. Most promoters sell tickets on the net or over the phone through Piccadilly Box Office (www.ticketline.co.uk or phone 01618321111), Ticketweb (www.ticketweb.co.uk or phone 08700 600 100). You can buy tickets for many club nights in person through record shops or bars in Manchester. Check the information on the listings page for these outlets. Also, most events have tickets sold on the door even if the advance tickets have sold out. Please check with the promoter of the show not the venue. Promoters contact details are in the listings section.

Is there a dress code?

No. Just wear a smile.

Can I get on the guest list or guaranteed list?

What time is a particular act onstage?

I think I lost something or left an item of clothing in the cloakroom. How can I get it back?

Please call Jillys on 01612369971 as soon after the event as possible. They organise the cleaning of The Music Box and deal with the cloakrooms and lost property

Can I pay by credit or debit card on the door or over the bar?

We do not accept card payments on the door as the venue is hired out by different organisations each night. The bar is also cash only. There are cash points nearby please try and visit them before entering the club!
